Independence Day

The 4th of July commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. Since 1785, Bristol, Rhode Island has held an Independence Day celebration, the longest continuous running observance in the United States. God Bless our troops and God Bless America.

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

  2. We are sooooo fortunate to be American. If you have ever traveled to different countries you would see this. Other countries are nice to visit, but there is NO country in the world that can compare to the freedom and liberty we have in the USA.
