National Shrimp Scampi Day.
Yum yum. Easy and fast to make - cook shrimp in butter for one minute, add minced garlic and cook for another minute, turn shrimp and cook for 2 minutes. Put shrimp into a bowl, add a dusting of parsley and parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Enjoy...

Happy National Tell A Story Day!
Teddy bears love to have a story told to them.

Monday, April 26, 2010

Happy National Pretzel Day!

Did you know that the pretzel is the second most favorite snack food in America?

Teddy bears love pretzels.

Sunday, April 25, 2010

Happy Sunday all, I hope everyone is ok after the bad weather yesterday. We had rain and thunder, but the teddy bears slept thru it all. Teddy snores really loud, maybe that was the thunder boomers I heard.

Saturday, April 24, 2010

I agree with Mimi! My favorite teddy bear maker is Granny Doodle, I wonder who is her teddy bear model?
OK I'm not going to touch Granny Doodle's comment from yesterday, except to say that I still have my teddy bear from childhood.

Teddy is a tough little bear, with one ear missing, a big ink stain on his face (I call that a fencing scar), new button eyes (as we get older we all have some body parts replaced!), and his fur is worn thin in places (My hair is a Little sparser, and people have called me thin skinned)

So I guess Granny Doodle was right, as we get older, we all start looking like our teddy bears!

Friday, April 23, 2010

Do you have a favorite teddy bear maker or is it the teddy bear that speaks to you?

Thursday, April 22, 2010

If you were taking a teddy bear making tour of Germany, would you include a location where glass eye are made? How about mohair in that list?

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Does anyone know where in Germany the teddy bear glass eyes are made?

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

What type of glass eyes are best for teddy bears?

Monday, April 19, 2010

Soooo, nobody cares about the teddy bears being dressed or not? Well I like my teddy bears naked! That's right - NAKED! But they have to be cute.

Sunday, April 18, 2010

What style of teddy bear do you like? Dressed or not, ribbon or no ribbon?

Friday, April 16, 2010

OK we made it thru Tax Day, now we can get back to Teddy Bear days.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

I think teddy bears love blueberries in their pan cakes.

Saturday, April 10, 2010

My trip to Knoxville went well, great BBQ. Maybe today I'll fire up the old grill.

Friday, April 9, 2010

Going to Knoxville for BBQ! Are you ready for some BBQ?

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Looks like rain the next few days, bring in the teddy bears.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Teddy bears love blueberry pancakes!

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Looks like spring has arrived, the birds are chirping, the flowers are budding, the grass is growing, the grass is growing, the grass is growing....the grass is growing fast..

Monday, April 5, 2010

Happy Monday

Except in the Redskins world. Philadelphia traded McNabb to the Redskins, the teddy bears are angry today. It's going to be a long season. Boo hoo.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Remember way back when, after church we would go to the Zoo?

Saturday, April 3, 2010
