TY John Montague

Today is National Sandwich Day, and Bearwiskers is planning to have one for lunch. Credit for the sandwich go to John Montague, Fourth Earl of Sandwich. Sandwich, Kent, England, is a historic town on the Stour River. The first elephant was landed near Sandwich in 1255, a gift from the King of France to the English Monarch Henry III. The elephant was taken on foot to the King's Zoo at the Tower of London. As the elephant was walking, a bull attacked the elephant, and with one move, the bull was thrown by the elephant and killed. Bearwiskers says... wow.
