K-Mart / Sears

On November 17, 2004, K-Mart announced that it was buying Sears, Roebuck & Co.
In 1893, Richard Warren Sears and Alvah C. Roebuck joined together to sell watches through mail order catalogues in Chicago, Illinois. The first Sears catalogue was published in 1888, and by 1894 the catalog grew to 322 pages. The first Sears store opened on February 2, 1925 in Chicago next to company headquarters, and the first free standing Sears retail store opened on October 5, 1925, in Evansville, Indiana. Bearwiskers and Angel Bear have both worked at Sears many moons ago.

  1. Yes, it was my first job after High School. I have fond memories of working there.
