Today is national Jelly Filled Donut Day.
Doughnuts have a disputed history, one theory is that they were introduced into North America by Dutch settlers in the 19th century, referring to them as "olykoek", a sweetened cake fried in oil. Doughnut or donut, Teddy wants a dozen please! Dahnk yuh vel.
