Casey at the Bat was written in 1888 by Ernest Thayer and published this day in the San Francisco Examiner.
Holliston, Massachusetts and Stockton, California claim to be the Mudville described in the poem.
Customer - Do you serve crabs here?
Waiter - We serve everybody, have a seat.
